THE START
With regard to alternative energy, WÜRZ seized the initiative long before terms such as climate change and sustainability were coined.
In the mid-1980s, we commissioned the first wind power station and today we generate 2.3 megawatts of wind energy. We also run combined heat and power plants, solar energy plants and a pellet system. With our eco-friendly energy management and carbon-neutral generation of energy from renewable sources and sustainable raw materials, , when it comes to energy supply we are already living today in tomorrow’s world. Day-to-day operations in our companies are shaped by the careful use of resources, environmentally sound practices and the consistent maximisation of potential savings.
